U.S. SERVICE BUSINESS ACQUISITIONS

You built it.
Let’s build
what’s next.

We’re looking to acquire a great service business—and give its people, its reputation, and its next chapter the attention they deserve.

What we look for
Unpilots mountain imagery: a snow-capped summit at sunrise, with the words Higher standards for everyday businesses
Built to run beyond the founder.Buy. Build. Unpilot.

01 / THE UNPILOTS IDEA

A great business should
be bigger than one person.

un·pilotverb / our reason for being

To build a business that can thrive beyond the person who built it.

In many service businesses, the owner is the pilot of everything. The customer calls. The schedules. The hiring. The decisions that keep the day moving.

Unpilots starts with a simple belief: the next stage of growth comes from sharing that responsibility. We aim to build capable managers, clear processes, and useful systems around the people already doing the work.

More strength in the team.
More possibility for the business.

02 / WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Real work.
Lasting demand.

We’re focused on established U.S. service businesses that customers rely on—and owners are proud to have built.

01

Services that matter

Essential work that keeps customers’ facilities, equipment, and everyday operations running.

Maintenance · Repair · Facility services
02

Customers who return

Recurring or repeat demand, trusted relationships, and a reputation earned by showing up and doing the job well.

Reliability that earns repeat business
03

A solid foundation

An established operating history, a capable team, and a profitable core business with room to develop.

Strong today. Room for tomorrow.
04

An owner’s next chapter

An owner thinking about succession or a transition, who wants a thoughtful plan for the business and its people.

Based in the United States

03 / HOW WE BUILD

Keep the heart.
Build the engine.

The relationships, craft, and local reputation are the foundation. Our role is to help the business carry those strengths further.

Start with one great business.
Earn the right to grow.

01

Learn what makes it work.

Listen to the owner, spend time with the team, and understand what customers value. Plan a transition around the realities of the business.

02

Put people in a position to lead.

Develop managers, clarify responsibilities, and turn the owner’s hard-earned knowledge into practices the whole team can use.

03

Make the everyday work better.

Improve quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and reporting. Use technology and AI where they save time, reduce errors, and support better service.

04

Grow from a stronger base.

Build deeper customer relationships and a repeatable way to win new work. Explore complementary acquisitions when the team and systems are ready.

04 / THE PEOPLE BEHIND UNPILOTS

Two builders.
A shared ambition.

Hands-on operating experience, a track record of building teams, and a practical approach to growth and technology.
